Webcast of the Month

Microsoft Movie Maker
Each month, PDWS will highlight a specific strategy for faculty and staff to implement in the workplace.   The strategy may be useful in the utilization of multimedia software to create dynamic course content, to deliver instructions and tutorials for students, or to provide directions on policies and procedures; or may consist of suggestions for better communication with colleagues and students.

Windows Movie Maker is a free program that is included with most PCs that use the Windows operating system. You can create, edit, and share your home movies right on your computer; build your movie with a few simple drag-and-drops; delete bad shots and include only the best scenes; and then share your movie via the Web, e-mail, or CD. This webcast is an example of a course introduction that was created using Movie Maker. (2:13)
