Technology Tip

Left Navigation (NOVUS 4.5)
Prior to publishing a page for the first time, you will want to know where users can find the web page once it is published. In order for the page name to appear as a link in the left navigation area of a published page, the Yes radio button must be selected.

Click "Properties" tab in the Rich Text Editor

Select "YES" radio button

More options with Left Navigation:
Apart from links to your web pages, you can add links to Files or outside web pages to your LEFT NAVIGATION in 4 simple steps:


Step 1:
In the NOVUS content tree, right click on the web page for which the left navigation is to be modified and click "Create".

Step 2:
In the Create Page pop-up window, type the name you want to appear on the left navigation and under Choose Document Type, select "Link to Another Page". Click "Create" to continue.

Step 3:
The new node created gives you an option to add an outside link, internal link or file/image link. Make the appropriate selection based on your requirement.

Step 4:
Finally, click the "Visibility" tab and select "Yes" for "Show in left nav?".Click "Save/Publish" for the changes to reflect on your LIVE web pages.
