Technology Tip

Global scanning
Do you know that faculty and staff members can scan documents to a folder on the shared drive (L), then store and/or share electronic copies with other people instead of printing them? With the Global scan technology, the system uses OCR software that allows you to search characters or words inside the document, and also copy the text, and paste it into a Word document. Here’s a set of simple instructions that describes how to take advantage of it!
