Global scanning
Do
you know that faculty and staff members can scan documents to a folder on
the shared drive (L), then store and/or share electronic copies with
other people instead of printing them? With the Global scan technology,
the system uses OCR software that allows you to search characters or
words inside the document, and also copy the text, and paste it into a
Word document. Here’s a set of simple instructions that describes how to
take advantage of it!

Congratulations to Professor Walt Ellis from the Dale Mabry Campus, whose
Service Learning Veteran’s Website Project has been selected as the 2009
HCC Innovation of the Year. In addition, the 2009 HCC Innovation of the
Year will be featured on the League for Innovation’s 2009 Innovations of
the Year website.
