Compare two documents Side by Side (Word 2007) Maybe you know everything there is to know about Word, but maybe you don't. When you need to view and compare two documents, and or copy information from one Word document to another it used to be that you had to open them both and switch back and forth between them. With Word 2007's View Side by Side feature, the task is simple and more efficient. First you need to Open both of the documents in Word 2007. One of the open files to be the open document. Go to the Ribbon and select the View tab. In the Window group, click View Side by Side, and then select the document you want to Compare Side by Side with the document currently in view.
