NOVUS 4.5 -- Media Management
Acceptable file types:
- PDF
- MS Office files viz. Word, Excel, PPT.
- Flash animation viz. swf
- Images viz. JPEG, GIF
- Audio viz. MP3
- Video viz. AVI, MPEG
Dos and Don'ts:
- File size limit (per file): 10 MB (mega bytes).
- File Names:
- Use alpha-numeric characters and/or underscore, hyphen.
- DONOT use special characters like period, comma, apostrophe, parenthesis, forward or back slash.
- Spaces are NOT recommended.
- Use folders and sub-folders for easy media management.
Want to update a link to a file? Follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Login to NOVUS and select Media under Sections |

Step 2: Select the file (node) from the left tree |
|
 |
Step 3: In the editor, click Browse |
|
 |
Step 4: In the Choose File dialogue box, navigate to the folder with updated file and select it. |

 |
Step 5: Click Save to finish uploading new file and replacing the old file. NOTE: If the file name is same as the old file name, no need to update the link on the webpage |

HCC Purchasing website is a good example to showcase the potential of NOVUS 4.5. Following are some of the highlights:- Custom template: Top navigation, department title on the top
- Flash intro
- Tables (color coded rows, columns to highlight content)
- Custom layouts (to present information in a user-friendly manner)
